Rejected or re-directed? Sometimes in life, certain things seem not to go as planned or expected. You didn't get the job you applied for, you were not admitted to the school you wanted to go to, you were not able to ... whatever it is. No matter how hard we try, some things just seem to be out of our control. Rather than grieving what could have been, it sometimes brings more peace of mind to relax, be calm, accept what is. I love this quote by Dr. Steve Maraboli:
"As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better."
I think he has a very sain way of looking at life, without laying any judglement or control into what has happened, happens and what will happen. Sometimes we just don't know what is in store for us... and that's just life. Usually something better than we ever could have imagined.. Trusting that sometimes what we perceive as rejection can be a form of re-direction without our knowledge at that particular time.. knowing that it probably is, may bring peace in mind and heart. Everything turns out for the best, in the end.
It's a beautiful quote.
